PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire resistant method of a cable capable of resisting fire for a long time without melting even if the cable exposed to high temperature or fire by burning of cotton dust for example caused by fire of a cigarette. SOLUTION: The surface of an exsisting cable 1 is coated with a vaporizing agent 2, a fire resistant sheet 4 impregnated with the vaporizing agent 2 is wound around the exsisting cable 1 so as to keep a space layer 3 to the exsisting cable 1, without coming in close contact with the exsisting cable 1, and a cable fixing means 5 capable of holding the space layer 3 without contact of the outer circumference of the exsisting cable 1 with the inner circumference of the fire resistant sheet 4 is installed. Even if a cast cigarette enters the inside, cotton dust catches fire or oil catches fire, and emitting smoke and combustion are continued, the exsisting cable 1 sufficiently resists fire and heat, and fire resistant capability is ensured. |
