PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery having an improved cycle characteristic by containing alkylamine salt in nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: Alkylamine salt is represented by a formula I (where R1, R2, R3 are alkyl groups). Preferably, the alkylamine salt is amine hydrochloride represented by a formula II (where R1, R2, R3 are alkyl groups). The amine hydrochloride is lauryl amine hydrochloride. Preferably, the alkylamine salt is amine acetate represented by a formula III (where R1, R2, R3 are alkyl groups). The amine acetate is oleyl amine acetate or stearyl amine acetate. In this secondary battery, the alkylamine salt is contained by 0.01-20 wt.% of whole solvent of nonaqueous electrolyte, and a negative electrode is a lithium metal or a lithium alloy. Because the alkylamine salt is added to the nonaqueous electrolyte, reaction between the negative electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte is restrained and a good cycle characteristic is provided. |
