PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat developable diazo copying material excellent in developability adaptable to high-speed copying and in long-term raw stock preservability while retaining initial image quality and image reliability by adding a specified benzoic ester derivative as a component of a coupler layer. SOLUTION: When a photosensitive layer containing a diazo compound and a coupler layer containing a coupler and a copolymer using a monomer having a carboxyl group as a constituent component are disposed on a substrate to obtain a copying material, a benzoic ester derivative of the formula is added as a component of the coupler layer. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen. A saturated fatty acid amide derivative having >=12 carbon atoms is further added as a component of the coupler layer. The copolymer contained in the coupler layer is a mixture of a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer and an isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer or a mixture of a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer and a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer. |
