PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow one portable telephone set to cope with different incoming call tones or different reply methods for outing and home use purpose. SOLUTION: It is not required for a portable telephone set to change an incoming call or a reply method depending on a service place by storing in advance setting information of home use or outing use incoming call tone/reply method to a storage section 7 to set home use/outing purpose incoming call tone/reply method so that the home use information is set when the portable telephone set 1 is set on a charger and the outing information is set when the portable telephone set 1 is not set on the charger.
