摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new measuring method for the susceptibility of a granular substance, in which the susceptibility of the granular substance can be measured simply, quickly and continuously, and in which the susceptibility of the granular substance can be measured with good accuracy even when the substance to be measured is in a trace amount. SOLUTION: In a space in which a magnetic field is generated artificially, a pipe 1 is installed. A liquid 3 which is non-compatible in a granular substance 2 as an object to be measured is supplied to a space inside the pipe 1. After that, the liquid 3 is moved at a set speed. The granular substance 2 as the object to be measured is injected into the liquid 3. The granular substance 2 is collected in a region before a point in which the product of a magnetic field by a magnetic force multiplied by a magnetic field grade becomes a maximum value. The movement speed of the liquid 3 is measured when the granular substance 2 collected by gradually increasing the movement speed of the liquid 3 comes to a standstill in the point in which the product of the magnetic field multiplied by the magnetic field grade becomes the maximum value. On the basis of the movement speed of the liquid 3, a magnetic force which acts on the granular substance 2 is calculated. On the basis of the magnetic force which acts on the granular substance, the susceptibility of the granular substance is calculated.
