PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tabular solid electrolyte fuel cell having a structure not broken even if a large unsteady thermal gradient, such as a rapid temperature increase, a rapid temperature decrease, or the like occurs, and allowing installation of a lightweight separator in a stack. SOLUTION: This separator 1 electrically connects two adjacent flat single cells in series and distributes a fuel and an oxidizer gas to the respective single cells, while the flat single cell is configured such that an air electrode and a fuel electrode are disposed on both faces of a flat solid electrolyte layer. A stack is formed by alternately stacking the flat single cells and the separators 1. The separator 1 is a composite separator comprising a conductive oxide plate 1B and a reinforcing plate 1A for reinforcing the oxide plate 1B overlapping with each other. The reinforcing plate 1A is made of a porous body having a large number of pores not communicating with the outside. |
