PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit operations for reprinting from an application if print contents have a problem to save the trouble and time regarding a test operation by providing a print data duplicating means which duplicates print data to be sent to a printer in printing from application software. SOLUTION: When print data are written as a file in a directory being referred to, a print control mechanism 17 requests the printer 2 to send setting information in a printer. A printer test system 1 transfers the file to a port 21 of the printer 2. A printer controller 22 receives the request from the print control mechanism 17, obtains the internal setting information to be sent to the printer test system 1, and sends the internal setting information with data in a format that the print control mechanism 17 can interpret. The print control mechanism 17 saves the received data with a file name obtained by changing only the extension suffix of a specified file name. |
