PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device capable of easily inspecting a computer function under the nearly continuously using condition of the computer. SOLUTION: In a method/device for inspecting a computer function, access to a work memory 2 is executed by bus connection 5 when the computer 1 is in a normal operation state. A spare memory 10 and a switch 6 are provided for inspection and access to the computer is switched so that the computer may operate not to the work memory but to the spare memory 10 by a switch. The contents of the spare memory can be used by a user. An auxiliary program 13 in the spare memory is executed when the computer operates and makes information concerning the internal operating state of the computer usable. |
