PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar antenna which neither spoils the outward appearance of a building such as a house nor narrows a useful space such as a veranda and receives a horizontal polarized wave. SOLUTION: An antenna substrate 1 made of a dielectric is provided with a microstrip line 2. Further, a strip dipole 7 is provided on the antenna substrate 1 so that the strip dipole 7 and microstrip line 2 electromagnetically resonate and the strip dipole 7 crosses the microstrip line 2 at right angles.
