PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder of a cylindrical shape which does not generate projections on a belt surface in a stage for coating the cylinder with a polyimide resin material dispersed with conducting agents and heating the same. SOLUTION: This process has a semi-cured seamless belt forming stage for casting a polyimide resin stock solution to the inside surface of a rotating drum-shaped metal mold 2 and molding an endless semi-cured seamless belt B' material and a thermal molding stage for coating the outside surface of a ceramic cylinder 3 with the semi-cured seamless belt B' and thermally molding the belt.
