<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp capable of preventing a short circuit between an electrode, a lead wire, and a base comprising a feeding wire and a conductor through adhesive in a holder also serving as the base even when electron emitting material of an inner electrode is exhausted and a lamp is out of life, and a lighting system provided with the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: A discharge lamp comprises a tube-shaped glass bulb 2, at least a pair of electrodes 31 provided on the bulb 2, discharge medium sealed in the bulb 2, a cylinder-shaped holder 7 jointed to an end of the bulb 2 through silicone adhesive 8 at a part except for at least a recessed part 73 for injecting adhesive for temporary fixation formed on an opening 72. The lighting device is provided with the discharge lamp.</p> |
