PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup means for an auxiliary power supply which supplies a control system and the like with low-voltage current in a hybrid drive system provided with a motor which produces driving force for the vehicle from power supplied from a main power supply circuit through an inverter. SOLUTION: An auxiliary power circuit 25 which supplies current to the various electrical units of an vehicle and the control system of a hybrid drive system is composed of a DC-to-DC converter 22 which converts the high-voltage power supply of a main power supply circuit 21 into low-voltage, and an auxiliary battery 23 which is charged with power from the converter 22. As a backup means for the auxiliary power supply, an alternator 27 is coupled with the output shaft of an engine 10 for driving a generator 11.
