PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized connector in which erroneous insertion of a connector plug into a connector socket can be securely prevented so as to prevent any breakage of an inside insulating housing or the like by external force generated in inserting even if the connector is miniaturized. SOLUTION: A small-sized connector comprises: a connector socket 2 having an insulating housing 6 incorporated inside of a square cylindrical shield case 4 in the state in which the shield case 4 molded by bending a metal plate and a plurality of contact pins 5 are supported; and a connector plug 3 having a plug 3a to be inserted into an insertion port 11 of the connector socket 2. In this case, a pair of L-shaped recesses 16 are provided in such a manner that both lower corners of the shield case 4 are pitted toward the insertion port 11.
