PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature having a commutator which can eliminate a start dead point, stabilize starting operation, reduce electromagnetic noise and the number of components, and realize miniaturization, thinning and cost reduction, in a flat type DC motor for generating vibration whose armature is constituted by using the magnetic field of a permanent magnet wherein four poles are magnetized in the thickness direction and two coils. SOLUTION: Ring type segment seats 255, 260 formed of segments having angle width larger than 90 deg. and smaller than or equal to 120 deg. in the electric angle of a commutator are clamped by ring type resin seats having a prism type center hole formed in the axial direction and a plurality of pin type holes around the center hole, and a commutator is constituted around a commutator substratum. A pair of commutation brush contact parts 135d, 136d which are mutually shifted by 180 deg. in the electric angle and engage with the commutator 120 is arranged in the vicinity of the neutral zone of a permanent magnet.
