摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decrease the variation of electrifying voltage due to environmental variation and to effectively decrease or prevent the occurrence of dot state unevenness in electrification in a magnetic brush electrifying method. SOLUTION: In this magnetic brush electrifying device, a body 20 to be electrified is electrified by holding a magnetic particle group 12 on a carrier 10 in a brush state as a magnetic brush by magnetic force and impressing voltage to the carrier 10 while the magnetic brush is made in contact with the body 20. In this case, the magnetic brush electrifying member is provided with the carrier 10 and the magnetic particles group 12 held on the carrier 10 in the brush state as the magnetic brush and the carrier 10 is provided with a conductive substrate 102 and a coating layer 104 that is 3 to 10μm in thickness for prevention of discharge installed on a surface on a side of the conductive substrate 102 where the magnetic brush is held.
