<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a target detectable distinguishably from the background by processing signals by correlating the signals with a reference signal indicating the radio wave reflecting intensity distribution of the target. SOLUTION: An antenna 1 receives reflected waves of a transmitted wave radiated upon a target reflected by the target and background in two directivity patterns and outputs a sum signalΣand a difference signalΔto a receiver 2. A signal processor 3b convertsΣvideo signals andΔvideo signals outputted from the receiver 2 into digital signals at every range bin by means of an A/D-converting section 4 and outputs sequences of numbersΣandΔ. A reference storing section 8a stores a reference signal which is the sequence of numbers representing the radio wave reflecting intensity distribution of the target and a correlating section 9a correlates the sequence of numbersΣwith the reference signal and outputs a correlative value. A target detecting section 5b detects the target from the correlative value and outputs the range bin number of the target. A distance detecting section 6 outputs the distance to the target from the range bin number and an angle error detecting section 7b inputs the sequences of numbersΣ,Δ, etc., and outputs an angle error.</p> |
