PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate power-on operation and eliminate need for fuse replacement by controlling a breaking circuit if current running through an apparatus for CATV exceeds a prescribed value for stopping power supply and, after the power supply is stopped, controlling the breaking circuit after every lapse of prescribed time, and attempting supply power. SOLUTION: A comparator 9 detects a change in DC voltage outputted from the first AC/DC converter 7 with reference to the DC voltage outputted from the second AC/DC converter 8. When it exceeds the reference value, a breaking circuit 1 is opened to stop power output to a feeder line. After a lapse of prescribed time, an integrated timer is actuated to close the breaking circuit 1 again for power output to a feeder line. The breaking circuit 1 is closed repeatedly while the DC voltage of the first AC/DC converter 7 is in excess of the reference value. Even if a short circuit occurs in a feeder line, a fuse is not blown, and automatic power-on operation is attempted, thus it is possible for a worker to eliminate need for manual power-on operation. |
