PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay with a contact switching normally. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic relay has an electromagnet 1 formed by winding a coil 1b on an iron core 1c; a yoke 2 having a corner part 2a and forming a magnetic circuit; an armature 3 having almost an L shape and turnably supported in such a state that the inside corner part comes in contact with the corner part 2a of the iron core 2; a hinge spring 4 having a biasing force for biasing so that the inside corner part of the armature 3 abuts on the corner part 2a of the yoke 2 and turnably supporting the yoke 3; contacts 7a, 9a being switched by rotation of the armature 3 so as to form a closed magnetic circuit together with excitation of the coil 1b of the electromagnet 1; an enveloping member 11 having a predetermined relative position relationship and having the inner surface enveloping the hinge spring 4; and a to-be-pressed part 4a in which the hinge spring 4 is pressed in the direction of applying the biasing force with a pressing surface 11b installed in the enveloping member 11 as the relative position relationship to the enveloping member 11 becomes the predetermined relative position relationship.
