PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a protective cover for spectacle lenses which allows the opening of an aperture of a bag-shaped body more largely than heretofore, facilitates the attachment and detachment of the lenses, makes the operation for attaining a large opening posture simple, is not excessively intricate in the structure for this purpose and is not costly. SOLUTION: The protective cover has the flexible bag-like cover body A having the aperture 1 and consisting of an inner layer 2 and an outer layer 3, a main elastic member A having a vertically elastically invertable recessed part 9 and an auxiliary elastic member 12. Both of these elastic members B and 12 are formed of thin leaf spring materials and are inserted between the inner and outer layers 2 and 3. The nearly L-shaped inner portion of the auxiliary elastic member 12 fits to the nearly U-shaped inner region of the main elastic member A. The inner end edge of the inner portion is selectively detained by either of a low projection 6a and a high projection 6b. These two projections 6a and 6b are formed integrally with the inner region and the lower projection 6a exists on the deep side additionally parted from the aperture 1.
