PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fault information from being concentrated to one maintenance center by comparing and collating a table and a toll telephone office number storing part when a fault is generated, retrieving a nearest remote access point and automatically transmitting fault information to the nearest access point. SOLUTION: A first control part 11 receives customer information (constitution information of the telephone system, a customer's telephone number, e.g.) and the toll telephone office number information on an installing place from extension telephone sets T1 to Tm through a telephone set I/F part 13 and stores them in a main storing part 14. In addition, in the case of generating a fault within the telephone system and in the case of desiring to periodically informing a remote maintenance center of customer information, the part 11 controls an extension trunk part 10 to automatically call to the nearest remote access point obtained from the part 14 to send fault information and customer information stored in the part 14 to an extension LL1 via a voice switch part 12 and the part 10.
