PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor for a motor-operated power steering device which can reduce operation noise. SOLUTION: This motor for a motor-operated power steering device is equipped with a yoke, a field part constituted of multipole which is four or more poles fixed on the inner wall surface of the yoke, a shaft 4 which is rotatably installed in the yoke, an armature 20 having a winding 21 wherein a lead wire 19 is wound by a lap winding system around an even number of slots 11 formed stretching in the axial line direction on the outer peripheral surface of a core 9, a commutator 6 constituted of a plurality of segments 16 fixed to the end portion of the shaft 4, and a plurality of brushes abutting against the surface of the commutator 6. The number of the slots preferably is not equal to a multiple of the number of poles. |
