PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge cell with low voltage or low electric energy required to generate discharge and a plasma address electrooptic device using the same. SOLUTION: In the case that electrodes 1a and 1b in a discharge cell are disposed opposedly, one, two or more flat-shaped conductors 4a and 4b are vertically disposed on the electrode surfaces inside or outside barrier ribs 2a to 2c. Or in the case that the electrodes 1a and 1b in the discharge cell are disposed in parallel, one, two or more flat-shaped conductors 4a and 4b are disposed in parallel on the electrode surfaces inside or outside the barrier ribs 2a to 2c. These flat-shaped conductors 4a and 4b prevent electric energy from leaking out of the discharge cell. |
