摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower power consumption without increasing the number of terminals and the number of power supply voltages in the buffer circuit of a CCD solid-state image pickup element in which a final stage is constituted of a push-pull circuit and a stage before that is constituted of a source-follower circuit. SOLUTION: For the push-pull circuit composing the final stage, a potential difference (10 V) between a power supply terminal (VDD: +15 V for instance) and the terminal of the intermediate potential (VGG: +5 V for instance) between the ground (0 V) and the power supply terminal is used as the power supply voltage. In one concrete example, the drain of the P channel MOS transistor Mp of the push-pull circuit is connected to the terminal of the voltage (VGG: +5 V for instance) for the gate bias of the current source MOS transistors M2, M4 and M6 of the source-follower circuit.
