COMMUNICATION NETWORK, MASTER SET, SLAVE SET, MULTIPLEXER AND EXCHANGE CONFIGURING THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance precision of a sampling time between a master set and each slave set by nullifying fluctuation in a transmission delay time due to waiting with respect to a specific packet and matching a transmission delay time between the master set and each slave set in two ways with high precision. SOLUTION: In a communication network where one master set 6 and a plurality of slave sets 7 are interconnected in a form of tree by using at least one multiplexer 8 while placing the master set 6 onto an apex, the master set 6 designates each slave set 7 cyclicly via the multiplexer 8, each slave set 7 transmits start specification information used for matching the sampling time in the designated order to the master set 6 and the sampling time is adjusted through a prescribed arithmetic operation on the basis of return specific information returned from the master set 6 in response to the start specific information.
