PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a learning supporting method and system for using a high level learning supporting service provided by a learning supporting server by designating a tag rewriting rule by simple description, and for obtaining the history information, and for realizing high level user interface design such as the control of a window necessary for learning support, and a storage medium for storing a learning supporting program. SOLUTION: When information obtained from an information providing server is hypertext information, a learning supporting server retrieves a tag from the obtained information by using the condition part of a tag rewriting rule in which tag information being the control information of a hypertext is the object of conversion (S1), and operates changing processing to the retrieved tag according to the executing part of the tag rewriting rule for executing processing pertinent to the contents of the condition part (S2), and provides the information changed by the tag to an information terminal (S3).
