摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit which can correct variation in its slew rate caused by the dispersion in manufacturing, working temperature, working voltage, secular change, etc., of the circuit and a method for controlling the slew rate of the circuit. SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit is provided with an output buffer circuit 40, which is formed on an integrated circuit chip so that the circuit 40 has a delay characteristic expressed by a function f1, a monitor circuit 10 which is formed on the integrated circuit chip so that the circuit 10 has the delay characteristic expressed by a function f2 which is proportional to the function f1, and a control signal generating circuit which generates a control signal based on the delayed time of a signal passing through the monitor circuit 10. The integrated circuit is also provided with a correcting means 30, which corrects the slew rate of the output signal of a circuit to be controlled by correcting the delay characteristic of the circuit to be controlled, according to the control signal from the control signal-generating means 11.
