PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate driving circuit which restrains oscillation without decreasing gain and can protect an overcurrent, and a control method of the gate driving circuit. SOLUTION: An element current detecting output is branched from a main current of a switching element 10. A constant current is subtracted from the current detecting output by a current source 16, and a difference current is led out. The current is limited by diodes 17, 18 in order to inhibit negative current flow. The limited difference current is integrated by a capacitor 19. A field effect transistor 20 is installed which controls a voltage of a gate terminal 10G of the switching element 10, on the basis of the voltage of the capacitor 19.
