PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object position detector for detecting the position of an object capable of picking up measuring value even if the object stops on a moving path and of moving along a specific moving path. SOLUTION: An object position detector is provided with an acoustic signal waveguide 1 extending along a moving path and having a specific uniform sound transmission velocity, a signal input combiner 4 combining repeating acoustic signal to the acoustic signal waveguide 1 and at least one signal output combiner 6 arranged at one end of the acoustic signal waveguide 1 and connected to an evaluation unit 11. The evaluation unit 11 determines the transmission time of the acoustic signal from the position combined by the acoustic signal to the signal output combiner 6 and generates a signal indicating the instantaneous position of the movable object 2 on the moving path. The signal input combiner 4 combines with the acoustic signal having time interval when adjacent pulses M vary. |
