PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make accurately computable the tempo of a lot of waveform data by a simple operation by estimating the length of the waveform data as the musical length of the numeric value using a musical unit on the basis of the physical length of the waveform data and the input tempo. SOLUTION: A waveform data file as an object to be processed is selected (S1). In this process, plural waveform data files are selected. A user determines an approximate value of BPM appropriate for the waveform data of the selected file for setting (S2). The minimum musical unit for musically expressing the length of the waveform data is set as a display unit (S3). On the basis of the set approximate value of BPM, the number of sample of the sample value data per each one musical unit is computed. On the basis of the obtained number of unit sample, BPM of the waveform data is accurately computed again (S5). When all of the computing is concluded (S6), computing of tempo is finished. |
