PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate respective sidewalls even when a plurality of side walls are displayed in the same color by displaying the sidewall of a road on a display means at displaying a road scene in a navigation device, and drawing a line of a fixed color capable of being discriminated in the upper side of a displayed sidewall. SOLUTION: A present position detecting part 21 detects the present position of a vehicle, based on electric wave received with a GPS receiver 11 and a map data base 14. In the map data base 14, road scene information and sidewall information are recorded at the confluent points of express-highways or at every main crossing of ordinary roads, and this information is read out and displayed on a display part 31. The sidewall information is recorded as one polygonal data against one sidewall (at every straight section). Next, about all the sidewalls constituted into polygon, the upper side is extracted. Next on all the extracted sidewalls, lines are drawn in previously indicated color (except the same color as the sidewalls). |
