摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make nearly zero an inverse voltage applied to a klystron to protect the klystron, by sensing the generation of a discharge in tube through a sensor for sensing the current of the klystron, and by short-circuiting a tertiary winding of a pulse transformer through closing a switch of the tertiary winding. SOLUTION: A power-supply portion 1 comprises a series circuit of a plurality of inverted L capacitor C1-inductor L1 connections (i=1-m). A transformer 4 has a primary winding 5 connected with the power-supply portion 1 via a switch 3, a secondary winding 6 connected with a klystron 7 of a load, and a tertiary winding 8 having a shorting switch 9. When the increase of a sensor current is sensed by a sensor 10 for sensing the current of the load, the tertiary winding 8 is short-circuited. As a result, the coupling of the secondary side of the transformer 4 to its primary side is released to cut off the klystron 7 from the power-supply portion 1. Therefore, it can be prevented that a surge voltage flows through the primary winding 5 from the klystron 7 to the end terminal of the power-supply portion 1, and then, the reflected power on the end terminal is applied to the klystron 7 as an inverse voltage.
