PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor where occurrence of harmful gas to a contact point is eliminated, the service life is long and a characteristic is stable while the vibration of a brush, which causes the abnormal abrasion of the electric sliding contact point is suppressed in the electric sliding contact point of the motor. SOLUTION: In a motor, where a flat brush in which a sliding contact part is installed in a base material supporting one end and having spring elasticity, is slid and conducted with a rectifier piece, a damper material constituted of a copolymerized polymer of acrylic alkyl ester and acrylic acid, which does not contain aromatic compounds is installed in a part of the base material of the flat brush. It is desirable that the damper material be constituted of a copolymerized polymer, having 82-92 weight % acrylic alkyl ester with an alkyl group whose number of carbons is 8-12 and 18-8 weight % acrylic acid.
