PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more speedily reset a speech path control memory by eliminating a complicated activation procedure with a resetting procedure or the like, concerning a speech path device having a backup memory for storing speech path path data. SOLUTION: Speech path control data to a speech path part 1 are written from a control line 4 into a speech path control memory 12 and at the same time, the same contents are written in a non-volatile memory 14 as well. At the time of turning on a power source again after power source off of the speech path part 1 caused by any factor, all the speech path path data in the non-volatile memory 14 are written in the speech path control memory 12.
