PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform routing between exchanges in telephone number portability by using the point code of an incoming exchange at the final routing destination. SOLUTION: In a telephone switching system composed of plural exchanges 2, a database 1 is arranged for storing the point code data of exchanges accommodating subscribers. While referring to the data-base 1 from the call originating exchange 2, the point code of a call incoming exchange 4, for example, accommodating a call incoming subscriber is acquired with the telephone number of the incoming subscriber as a key, the next routing destination exchange is successively determined and routing is performed to the telephone number portability destination of an incoming exchange 6, for example, of the final routing destination. Besides, the point code of the exchange corresponding to a subscriber number can be registered and updated from plural entrepreneurs through terminals connected to the database 1 in the database 1.
