PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible the reduction of circuits without lowering performance in the case of separating a luminance signal and a chrominance signal from a video signal. SOLUTION: A 1H video signal S108 delayed for one line term from an inputted video signal by a line memory 105 and band-limited from that video signal S105 by a band pass filter 108 and a 2H video signal S109 delayed for one line term from that video signal by a line memory 109 are provided. Thus, the reduction of circuits can be attained without lowering performance in the case of separating the luminance signal and the chrominance signal while utilizing a correlation between lines.
