PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suitably connectable an information code reader and a portable information terminal and to make easily readable an information code. SOLUTION: This device 1 is used while a portable information terminal (PDA) 2 is mounted on its principal face, and essentially consists of a scanner main body 3 which reads a bar code, a junction board 4 which transmits read information to the portable information terminal 2, an a flexible wire (flat cable) 6 which electrically connects the scanner main body 3 and the junction board 4. The portable information terminal 2 is freely attachably and detachably set to the rear side of the scanner main body 3, and the junction board 4 is fitted into a fitting hole 11 in the side face of the portable information terminal 2 so that it can be taken out. |
