PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control unit improved in operability. SOLUTION: A CPU 7 of a data processing part selects a comment out of message groups previously written in a memory built in a main body 1 of remote controller and stores/registers the comment in a data storage part 8 together with data. The CPU 7 of the data processing part performs data editing for adding operation ranks to the data selected from the data storage part 8. Concerning this data editing, several transmission code signals are selected from the data storage part 8 and after the operation ranks are determined, these codes are stored/registered again in an editing data storage part 8 as editing code. At such a time, the data stored in the data storage part 8 are stored/registered again in the editing data storage part 8 after the end codes are added as well after editing. This is for reporting the transmission end of editing code data to the CPU 7 of the data processing part at the time of transmission. In this case, the same memory is used for the data storage part 8 and the editing data storage part 8.
