PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the latest road information on a vehicle even if a section where road information can not be received by radio exists about a road information system receiving road information by radio and performs display of it, etc., and about a recording medium. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a receiving means 2 receiving road information transmitted by radio from a base station 11, a storing means which stores the road information while associating it with a road section, a position detecting means 3 detecting the current position of a vehicle and a means which outputs road information corresponding to the road section of the current position detected by the means 3 among road information received by the means 2 or outputs road information corresponding to the road section of the current position stored in the storing means when the road information corresponding to the road section of the current position is not received.
