PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the heat-developable sensitive material in particular, for photoengraving, low in fog and high in maximum density and small in rise of fog and fluctuation of sensitivity by incorporating a specified compound and a nucleator in a layer on the side of an image forming layer containing photosensitive silver halide. SOLUTION: The heat-developable sensitive material contains a inphotosensitive silver salt, photosensitive silver halide, and a binder on a support, and it has the image forming layer containing the photosensitive silver halide, and the layer formed on this side contains the nucleator and at least one kind of the compound represented by the formula in which X1 is an O atom or a =NH group; each of R1 and R2 is an H atom or an acyl or hydrocarbon or carbamoyl group, but when X1 is an O atom, at least one of R1 and R2 is an H atom; and L1 is a divalent organic group necessary to form a cyclic structure.
