PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat developable photosensitive material for laser imager output having high sensitivity, low fog, good preservability and less image degeneration after development and to obtain a heat developable sensitive material for image setter output having high sensitivity, low fog and good preservability. SOLUTION: In a heat developable sensitive material containing an organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide grains and a reducing agent on the substrate, the photosensitive silver halide grains are formed in the presence of at least one compound of the formula R1-(S)m-R2, wherein each of R1 and R2 is an aliphatic group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group or R1 and R2 are a group of atoms capable of forming a ring by combining with each other, R1 and R2 may be identical or different and (m) is an integer of 2-6.
