HIGH Cr STEEL PIPE FOR LINE PIPE

A steel pipe for a line pipe which has the following composition: C: 0.02 % or less, Si: 0.5 % or less, Mn: 0.2 to 3.0, Cr: 10.0 to 14.0 %, Ni: more than 2.0 % and up to 3.0 %, N: 0.02 % or less, balance: Fe and inevitable impurities; and, preferably, further comprises Nb in an amount of 0.3 % or less. The steel pipe having such a composition provides a high Cr steel pipe for a line pipe which is significantly improved in HAZ toughness and hot forming property.
