The invention relates to a method of operating electric auxiliary drives in electromobiles. Said electromobiles are provided with a direct current source which generates a variable voltage that is fed to an inverter to drive AC motors for auxiliary drives. According to the inventive method, the AC motors are controlled via a voltage-frequency characteristic. The operating point of said characteristic is predetermined by the actual voltage level of the intermediate circuit.
