Particularly for a tractor, the trailer coupling has an immovable draw hook (1) which can accommodate a draw ring on a second vehicle. A vertical closure part (24) is movable around an axis (7) and is lockable at least in a closed position, so that it secures the draw ring engaged on the draw hook against undesirable uncoupling. The trailer coupling has an introduction mouth (8) vertically movable in relation to the draw hook, which is fitted into vertical grooves (5) in the area of the draw hook facing the vehicle and is raiseable or lowerable by means of a lever mechanism (15-20). With an upward movement of the introduction mouth the closure part is raised with it, in order to free the draw hook for coupling or uncoupling.
