The invention relates to an injector for implanting a folded intraocular len s. A folded lens can be introduced into the lens capsule of the eye through an approximately 3 mm long slit opening in the eye. The novel injector is characterised in that it consists of only three parts: a one-piece body (2), a swivel flap (3) which is provided with a folding rib (11) and which enables the lens (20) to be held in a first position above the transport channel in an unfolded state before being pressed in radially so as to slide into the transport channel in a folded state; and a third component, the slide (4), b y which means the folded lens (20) can be slid forwards in a longitudinal direction and then ejected out of the injector into the eye.
