The gas discharge lamp system has a lamp connected with a universal converter integrated into the base of the lamp. This allows the lamp system to run as a functional unit in the socket of low voltage lamp housings of different designs, with mains frequency, high frequency or DC. Alternatively, the lamp system can be connected without the housing and intermediate base to a different rail, rod or cable system, and here run with mains transformers or with high frequency circuit components. The low voltage connecting contacts of the base system consist of contact segments that are attached directly on the outside of the base. |
