For fixture to a rifle (1) the grenade launcher (13) has a launching barrel (15) which is pivotable around a static cross axis near to its mouth. A base housing (17) supports a trigger mechanism (21) and has a thrust base. A connecting piece (37) supports the cross axis and is firmly connected to the base housing. The connecting piece encloses the grenade launching barrel so far over at least a part of its length that only a longitudinal slot (39) remains disclosed, which is necessary for the outward pivoting of the grenade launcher barrel.
