The invention relates to an airbag module, especially a driver airbag module, comprising a one-piece housing which forms a cover and in which a gas bag and a gas generator are located, the gas generator being fixed to a generator support. According to the invention, the generator support (10) is configured as a one-piece component of the housing (5). The generator support (10) is preferably linked to the housing in such a way that it can pivot. The invention also relates to a gas bag for an airbag module, comprising means for connecting to a gas generator. According to the invention, said gas bag has a slit-shaped opening (16) for inserting the gas generator (7), by which means at least two fields (19) are formed in the gas bag (6). Passages (17) are provided in the fields (19) and can be threaded with fixing means (8) which project from the gas generator (7), in such a way that the fields partially overlap.
