Apparatus has feeding unit pump with controlled flow rate. Control unit has roll displacement speed sensor, regulator for setting at least one linear ratio between roll displacement speed and flow rate of paint supplied by pump. Control unit is adapted for controlling flow rate in accordance with linear ratio.
