The tailgate operating device has an electromechanical locking unit to lock the tailgate (1) to the chassis (2), and an electromechanical lifting unit to raise and lower the tailgate. A control unit controls the locking and lifting units in succession and in dependence on each other. The lifting unit has a first drive element (15) connected to an electric motor. This element is engaged with a first longitudinal push-pull element (16). This push-pull element and the guide (18) are movably connected to the tailgate or the chassis. |
