<p>The present invention is directed to filamentary means for the delivery of agents into a living host, and methods for making and using the same. More specifically, the present invention provides new and useful fibers and methods of use of such fibers to implant living cells and other agents into specific tissues, including skin and bone, for the purpose of tissue and organ regeneration, site-specific drug release, transdermal drug delivery, and gene therapy.</p> |
